EXPERIENCING DIVINE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

One will say this topic is “woaw”. Yes it’s “woaw but the question is, how will this affect your life as a Christian?. Most people wish they have this divine relationship with the Holy Spirit but the question always is, HOW HOW HOW? I will like to talk about some few ways we can establish divine relationship with the Holy Spirit.

And they were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4(KJV)

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:13(KJV)

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 12:3(KJV)

Taking good look at the few scriptures, emphasize on some of the awesome abilities or works of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit works in a detailed way and fulfills his agenda to the fullest. Before he operates, we must do just one simple thing; availing our self for him to take hold of us for reshaping.
Our first scripture talked about that happening on the Pentecost day, when disciples were filled with the divine visitation of the Holy Spirit. Looking carefully during their time before they were visited, they were doing something.

1. WAITING UPON THE LORD.
Before you can have the visitation of the Holy Spirit, you must wait upon him. He needs your full attention and cooperation before he descends.  Before he comes and fill you, you need to avail yourself for him to come. The disciples waited upon the Lord to fulfill his promise. They believed his word and were in full expectation that he will surely fulfill his word. They waited with patience in one accord.

That moment when we wait upon the Holy Spirit creates the environment for him to descend. When he descends, he does what he wants to do with us.
After the Holy Spirit visited them with his divine abilities, he transformed them and made them something else. That’s how he treats you when you avail yourself for him to come into your life. The disciples began to do lots of things beyond human reasoning (Acts 2:4).

2. THE HOLY SPIRIT MAKES US SPEAK THINGS ORDINARY MEN HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT
Until you get filled with the Holy Spirit, you will hardly speak about the divine abilities of God. The difference is that, he makes everything clear. He opens our spiritual mind and clearly reveals the divine nature of God. Our intimacy with the Holy Spirit makes him reveal to us the uncommon love of God.
The divine visitation of the Holy Spirit gives us what no ordinary man could have. He puts a new song in or mouth and changes our language (not our dialects but the way we speak). We express ourselves in the heavenly way because our minds are set on heaven alone. 1 Corinthians 2:6

3. HIS DIVINE VISITATION OPENS OUR UNDERSTANDING OF GOD’S PERSONALITY
Until you have that kind of personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, you cannot really know what God is really about. The Holy Spirit opens our mind and makes clearly the persona of God. He puts us right to the realization of the one we serve.
The final scripture (1 Corinthians 12:3) was clear enough that until we have personal relationship with God, we cannot have that full realization of Christ. The Holy Spirit opens our understanding and gives us truth we desire of God.

Prayer:
I pray that as we live, we will be eager for that personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. We need him in every aspect of our life because he portrays the glory of God.
