FORGIVENESS (Pt One)

The word forgiveness disturbs many people because neither do they lack the understanding of the word nor do they not have understood the idea behind the word and its precious effect on man’s life.

One may have a different understanding about forgiveness, but according to the expects who teach or study forgiveness, said “when you forgive, you did not gloss over or deny the seriousness of the offence against you. Forgiveness does not mean condoning or excusing offences. Though forgiveness can help you repair changes, relationships (both of God and man), it doesn’t obligate you to reconcile with the person who harmed you or offend you, or release them from legal accountability".

"Instead forgiveness brings the forgiver peace of mind and frees him/her from corrosive anger”. This is exactly what must go on in the life of many Christians in other to liberate them from some kind of discomfort in their life.

Christianity Is Established On Forgiveness

Christians are missing great things in life for the fact that they lack the basic knowledge of Christianity having being established on forgiveness, as Christ Jesus demonstrated a perfect example throughout his time on earth.

There are divisions in homes just because they have difficulty in forgiving others what they have done to them as members of their own families. Churches are also dividing all because of the leaders not able to forgive each other among themselves as fellow workers in the vine yard.

All these acts in churches are bringing separations among today’s churches. In the history of some countries, this issue regarding forgiveness has been their problem leading to so many problems. Politicians are having this virus of unforgiveness towards other political parties when they offend them during their time in power.
